Testimonials

We have used JC Building Solutions on two house renovations in the past 10 years, along with other smaller jobs here and there. We couldn't recommend them more highly (and have recommended them to many friends). A trustworthy family business, always friendly and helpful and willing to go the extra mile - and, most importantly, their work is always high quality.

We purchased a property on Abingdon’s Marina. It needed a lot of work before it could meet our needs.

We secured planning permission to extend and completely remodel the property, produced a detailed specification, and met with and invited 6 contractors to submit a tender.

JC Building Solutions proposal was very thorough, and having met with them on a number of occasions we felt we could work with them. So it proved to be the case!

The work is now complete, and everyone who visits our home has commented on the quality of the workmanship and the finishes. Communication with the team at JC was excellent throughout and I would not hesitate to use them again, or recommend them to others.

Mr and Mrs Wilmshurst - Abingdon Marina, Oxford.

I have had the pleasure of working with JC Building Solutions for several years across numerous projects, both large and small. Without doubt, they are the finest building company I have worked with in over 40 years.

Their diligence and attention to detail are exceptional, and their communication throughout every stage of a project is exemplary. Regardless of the size or scope of the job, they approach each one with complete professionalism and a genuine sense of pride in their work.

As a family firm deeply rooted in Oxford, they clearly understand that their reputation is everything — and they protect it accordingly. This is reflected not only in the quality of their workmanship but also in the integrity and care they bring to every project.

I have primarily worked with Paul, who has consistently provided excellent advice and recommended outstanding suppliers when needed. His knowledge, reliability, and straightforward approach have been invaluable.

In summary, JC Building Solutions is a fantastic family-run company that I cannot recommend highly enough.

We are absolutely delighted with the extension completed by JCB. The quality of their workmanship is excellent, and their attention to detail really shows in the finished result.

They were diligent throughout the project, always on time, and kept everything clean and tidy at the end of each day. The whole team was polite, courteous, and a pleasure to have around.

Nothing was ever a problem — they consistently found solutions and practical workarounds whenever challenges arose. There was never any hard sell, just honest advice and a clear focus on delivering quality work.

We completely trust them and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering an extension or building project.

JC Building Solutions have done an excellent job on the full renovation - including extension, loft conversion and new kitchen - of what had become our rather tired Edwardian terraced house. The team has transformed the building, creating a delightful, warm, light-filled home that now really meets our needs. We particularly like the first-rate attention to detail and finish to the work, together with the care and consideration JCBS have shown during the project. Paul Wilson has been extremely professional and helpful throughout. Paul consulted us closely and kept us informed through all stages of the work and has always been on hand for any questions we may have had. We are absolutely delighted with our "new" old house!
